About Us
SynesthASIA is a Montreal-based organization that seeks to raise funds for sustainable development and poverty alleviation projects throughout Asia. This year 100% of the funds raised for SynesthASIA will go to Right to Play.
SynesthASIA’s feature event is an annual fashion show which features Montreal-based designers and local talent in a creative amalgamation of fashion, performing arts and culture. The show’s concept is inspired by “synesthesia”, which is a neurological condition in which the senses become cross wired, leading to sensations of “seeing sounds” or “tasting colours”.
Thus the audience is transported into a fantastical world that overwhelms the senses with its diverse influences from the alluring continent of Asia. This year, our show depicts prominent landmarks and celebrations of the Asia, taking our spectators on a virtual tour of the beautiful continent.
Four years ago, SynesthASIA made its debut at Metropolis and attracted over 1200 audience members as well as designers, stylists, magazines and photographers, raising $9,000. This year we would like to thank you for helping us strive to reach our goal of donating $10,000 to the education and care of children.
